The University Library provides various services and resources to support the research and educational activities of the University faculty, students, staff and the general public.

There are three libraries on three campuses: The Central Library on Nishi-Chiba campus, the Library of Health Sciences (Inohana Library) on Inohana campus and the Library of Horticultural Sciences (Matsudo Library) on Matsudo campus.

The Library holds 1.4 million volumes, 25,000 periodicals and many non-printed materials. In addition, the library web site is the key resource for those on campus who research for information of their interest as well as providing access to OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog), to various kinds of bibliographic databases, 17,000 fulltext online journals, the University institutional repository and other reference resources.
