The Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences was founded in 1964 to prepare students attain Master’s degrees and a Doctoral program was started in 1979. In 2001 the Graduate School was reorganized under a program of educational collaboration between the Graduate School of Medicine and the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and newly started as the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, to which the members of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences have been transferred. The Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences is engaged in the further development of human health sciences through advanced and multi-angled research in the fields of medicinal sciences, environmental and life sciences, and clinical pharmacy.
