Faculty of Engineering
The Faculty of Engineering consists of ten departments: Departments of Architecture, Urban Environment Systems, Design, Mechanical Engineering, Medical System Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanoscience, Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology, Image Science, and Informatics and Imaging Systems. Most of the academic staff in the Faculty are also fully responsible for research and education within the two-year Master's and the three-year Doctoral Programs in the Graduate School of Engineering.

The faculty publishes "FACULTY OF ENGINEERING, CHIBA UNIVERSITY" annually in Japanese.
The Faculty of Engineering considers engineering as "a practical field aiming at the creation of a richer human culture." In order to educate the technical experts and researchers needed to underpin our vision of society, the Faculty of Engineering is eager for applicants who are by nature interested in developing:

Department of Architecture calls for:
Applicants with creative and inquiring minds who are keen to learn how to create good architecture to raise the quality of the built environment and urban contexts, and acquire a profound understanding of attendant problems.
Department of Urban Environment Systems calls for:
Applicants are welcome who have interest in ideal urban environments and thus want to study related technologies including community and urban-environment designs, urban infrastructure planning, sustainable energy, recycling systems, and information & communication technologies. Applicants who have jobs but want to enhance their personal growth opportunities are also welcome.

Department of Mechanical Engineering calls for:
