Visit from University of the Arts London

On October 31, 2025, Mr. Ahmed Masoud, Associate Director, Study Abroad and Preparation Programmes of University of the Arts London (UAL) in the UK visited Chiba University.

They held discussion with Hiroaki Ozawa, Executive Vice President of Chiba University, Prof. Takayuki Higuchi, Department of Design, Design Research Institute, and other faculty and staff members.

UAL is a national university comprising six colleges and is renowned for its strengths in creative fields such as fine art, design, fashion, media, and performing arts.

UAL is internationally recognized for its excellence in art and design education and has consistently ranked second in the QS World University Rankings by Subject (Art & Design) , published by the UK-based higher education evaluation agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS),  from 2019 to 2025.

This visit provided a meaningful opportunity for both universities to discuss the possibility of student exchange, including short-term and study abroad programs, and is expected to further strengthen future collaboration.
