2024.12.10

On November 20, Wed, 2024, 132 students and staff from SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS ISLAM TERPADU INSANTAMA BOGOR (INTEGRATED ISLAMIC SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL INSANTAMA BOGOR) visited Chiba University. The purpose of the tour was to conduct a comparative study of leadership and development management, and for students who wish to study abroad in the future to learn about the international university environment.

On the day, Professor Yuichi Oda (Institute for Excellence in Educational Innovation) gave a lecture introducing the university and Japan's global human resource development, followed by an active Q&A session. Then, the high school students introduced their program and performed a traditional musical instrument "Angklung" and a Saman Dance.

Afterwards, the students went on a campus tour to visit the Center for Environmental Remote Sensing, the University Library / Academic Link Center. Twelve Indonesian international students at our university also participated in the tour as guides, and they toured the campus with the high school students while having a friendly exchange.

Chiba University has a lot of international students enrolled and has strong ties with Indonesia. The number of Indonesian students is the third highest overall (46 students). We will continue to promote the acceptance of international students and build a foundation for education and research as an international university.
