【月曜(バウアー)クラス】
The students will improve their reading speed and comprehension for the purposes of test taking, doing research, and reading for pleasure. The students will be introduced to various topics
【金曜(オーリ)クラス】
Students will read the book, 'Tuesdays with Morrie'. The focus in this class will not only be on the content but also on the reading style. Students will identify what they think are important parts of the text they read. They will then share their ideas with their peers. This will help them learn the various styles in which the same text can be read. |

The students will read to enhance their knowledge and understanding of various issues. Students will do vocabulary building exercises, answer comprehension questions, and discuss their opinions.
【金曜(オーリ)クラス】
The aim of this course is for students to develop a strategic approach to reading, so that they learn to view reading as a pleasure activity rather than a translation exercise. Reading for pleasure means they will not only enjoy reading the contents of the book but will also be able to relate it to their own lives and as a result develop critical reading/thinking skills. |

【月曜(バウアー)クラス】
The students are expected to read and answer the questions for each unit before coming to class. In class we will work on reading speed, comprehension, and we will discuss the issues from each chapter.
【金曜(オーリ)クラス】
Students will be required to read a given portion of the book as homework and identify the important parts of the text, before discussing it with their partners as pair activity. Students will make their own questions based on the text. Peer response will be a critical part of this activity. Students will be asked to read passages aloud and the focus will be on enunciation. Apart from the textbook, students will also listen to English songs, watch DVDs, listen and read famous speeches. |
