A biotope green roof were installed on 10th floor in 2002 and it had been neglected over eight years. Although there were no maintenance and no irrigation for many years, some species such as Morella rubra and Cinnamomum camphora grow very well and many insects used this biotope green roof as their habitats. We redesigned this green roof to optimize biodiversity benefits. Insect study is carrying out once a month since 2009. Various insects were observed, however, ecosystem on the green roof is different from those on the ground; most observed species were herbivore on the green roof.
