Chiba University ranked high in the national and public university category of the "Japan Study Abroad Awards 2025"

Chiba University was highly evaluated for its support for international students, educational content, and reputation—the award for ranking high in the eastern Japan region's national and public university category, continuing its success from last year.

The "Study in Japan Awards" are selected by the Japan Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language Education, which surveys Japanese language schools nationwide. They chose the top five schools in each category based on votes from international students recommending them as the preferred school to advance, with separate selections for the eastern and western regions.

The most frequently cited reason for recommendation was "international student support (living aspects)," accounting for over 20% of the total. Other factors included facilities, location, educational content, reputation, satisfaction, and international student support (academic aspects).
