News & Topics

On March 3, 2025, we held the first International Student Opinion Exchange
Meeting with the aim of promoting the recruitment of outstanding international students and improving student services.
The event was attended by eight international students from various
countries who are enrolled in our graduate schools, along with approximately 20 faculty and staff members involved in international student support.
Participants shared their thoughts and opinions on a wide range of topics,
including why they chose Chiba University, their research, daily life, and
job-hunting experiences.

Living in a foreign country comes with various challenges, both big and small, beyond just language barriers.
"How do I find housing?" "How do I get a SIM card?" "How do I handle tax-related procedures?"
At Chiba University, we provide comprehensive support with the International Support Desk (ISD) playing a central role. However, through this discussion, we gained valuable insights and also identified areas that need improvement. We will continue working to create a learning environment where nationality and language do not become barriers.
