Visit KMUTT in Thailand

On March 28, Prof. Koutaro Yokote, President of Chiba University, Hiroaki Ozawa, Executive Vice President, and our faculties visited Social Design Institute (SDI) in Knowledge Xchange for Innovation (KX) of King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), and had a discussion with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suwit Saetia, President of KMUTT, and their faculties.

SDI is Japan-Thailand’s first research institute for social design jointly established by Chiba University and KMUTT in 2024. Various specialists work together to solve various issues that are unevenly distributed around the world.

During the visit, students of both universities gave presentations on culture and challenges.
Besides, Chiba University Alumni Association event was held and 20 alumni gathered from all over Thailand.
We will continue these networks and furthermore strengthen interdisciplinary research and international education.
